
Annawan CUSD 226 has elected to participate in the Free Seamless Lunch option offered by USDA and ISBE. This means all students will be eligible to receive free lunches for the 2021-22 school year. Students must still pay for extra entrees and milk.

Information concerning the District's Rapid COVID Testing Program and Consent Form will be sent home with students on Monday. Please read the information and return the voluntary Consent Forms to the GS and HS offices by Friday. High School Volleyball - The HS VB game on Thursday (8/26) at Bureau Valley will now have a JV start at 6:00 with varsity to follow.

Junior High Baseball - The make up date for the United game is Wednesday, September 8. This date will be a DH starting at 4:00.

Thank you for a great start to the 2021-2022 school year! We wanted to remind everyone that we will begin our regular dismissal time next Monday, August 30th. Annawan Junior High and High School will dismiss at 2:59pm and the grade school will dismiss at 3:04pm. Also, picture day will be this Thursday, August 26th for the high school and K-8 picture day will be September 15th. Thank you!

Annawan Unit 226 presented service awards at their opening day institute on Monday, August 16th. Service awards recipients were from left sitting: 30-year honorees– Chris DeMay – Janitor and Brenda Smith – Elementary Teacher. Standing from left – 5 year honorees – Amber Jannie – Cafeteria Staff and Hope DeRycke- Special Education Teacher; 15 year honorees – Duane Richter – Bus Driver, Creston Fenn – HS Social Studies Teacher and Andrea Hakes – Elementary Teacher; 20 year honoree – Tammy Celus – HS Guidance Counselor and 25 year honoree – Ann Chapman – Learning Disabilities Aide.
