The Annawan School District will be dismissing at 1:50 today due to the incoming weather. All afternoon practices and events are cancelled. No preschool for PM classes.
High School Girls Basketball - Tonight's (2/5) game with Abingdon-Avon has been postponed. Makeup date TBA.

ACT and pre-ACT Testing - Tuesday, April 8
As part of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and Illinois State accountability requirements, all Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors are required to participate in statewide testing each spring. Starting this spring, Illinois will administer the ACT as the state-required exam. For Juniors, this also serves as a free opportunity to take the ACT and report it to prospective colleges and universities.
Freshmen will take the preACT 9, Sophomores will take the pre-ACT and Juniors will take the ACT.
Please note this is a date change from the calendar highlight sheet that was out at registration.
Parents please do not schedule appointments or travel for this day (April 8).
Annawan boys basketball has been nominated for the FM 95 Hometown Heroes of the Week.
This is a community voted award, with the winning team for the week advancing for a chance at winning $1,000 for their high school's athletic department when we wrap up the season.

The Annawan Music Boosters would like to invite band alumni to come play in the pep band on Saturday, January 25th. The basketball game starts at 2 pm. Plan to meet in the band room at 1:30.
If you can no longer play your instrument, your presence alone will help support our kids. Come join us on the stage and clap along!
The Boosters will also be collecting cash donations to fund the many projects that they provide for students throughout the entire year. Our largest project is providing free music lessons to band and choral students over the summer.
Lastly, plan to stay for the boys' basketball chili supper in the cafeteria following the varsity game. GO BRAVES!
