The Annawan School District would like to again congratulate the family of long-time Annawan teacher and coach, Jim Frankenreider. Coach Frankenreider was posthumously inducted into the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame Class of 2021 this past Saturday in Bloomington, Illinois. Coach Frankenreider graduated from Annawan High School in 1961, served his country in the United States Army, and began his coaching career at Atkinson High School in 1970. He then returned to Annawan High School in 1983. He had an overall record of 106-64 as a head varsity football coach and a 204-172 record as a girls basketball coach. The Annawan School District would like to thank former graduate, Dave Nanninga, for his efforts to help get Coach Frankenreider inducted. This is a tremendous honor for such a great man, Hall of Fame Coach Jim Frankenreider.
