PUBLIC NOTICE: INTENT TO APPLY FOR 21ST CENTURY COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTERS (21CCLC) GRANT

TO THE COMMUNITY:
Annawan Grade School, in partnership with Annawan Alba Township Library, hereby provides public notification of its intent to apply for the federal 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21CCLC) grant. This grant is awarded through the Illinois Department of Education for the fiscal year 2027 funding cycle.
The purpose of the 21CCLC program is to create or expand community learning centers that provide high-quality, academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours and summer months for students attending Annawan Grade School.
If awarded, the program will offer a broad array of services designed to complement the school-day curriculum and support student success. Proposed activities include:
Tutoring, STEM activities
Social/Emotional Learning: leadership development, conflict resolution
Recreational Activities: sports, outdoor activities
Family Engagement Activities: literacy training, family nights
The goals of our program are to improve academic achievement, promote positive youth development, and increase family engagement.
